Brilliant defense attorney (1857–1938) noted for his role in the Scopes ‘Monkey’ Trial and the Leopold-Loeb thrill-killing case. Uncommon vintage 9 x 12.25 paperstock head-and-shoulders photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “Clarence Darrow to Columbia Tow’p High School, May 1936.” Some scattered edge creases and some mild toning to borders, otherwise fine condition.
